93, of Beech Grove, passed away June 16, 2017. He was born September 19, 1923 in Salem, Indiana. Roger served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked for Eli Lilly's as a printer for 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 276 in Beech Grove and was the past commander of the American Legion Post 464 in Indianapolis and he was active with the Beech Grove Little League where he received a received a lifetime achievement award., volunteer with the Beech Grove...

93, of Beech Grove, passed away June 16, 2017. He was born September 19, 1923 in Salem, Indiana. Roger served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He worked for Eli Lilly's as a printer for 40 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 276 in Beech Grove and was the past commander of the American Legion Post 464 in Indianapolis and he was active with the Beech Grove Little League where he received a received a lifetime achievement award., volunteer with the Beech Grove Athetlic Department and volunteer with the U.S.O. Roger is preceded in death by his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth "Betty" Koebeler Knight. Parents Virgil and Florence Mae Gilstrap Knight, sisters, Inez Cauble, Ruby Staton, brother Kenneth Knight. He is survived by his children Karen (Randy) Gault, Barbara VanWinkle, Rick (Erin) Knight, Kimberly (Chris) McMillan, grandchildren: Derek VanWinkle, Annie Moore, Amber Felker, Amanda Gault, Kelli Gault, Blake Knight, Carly Knight, Macie McMillan, Christopher McMillan Jr., Cameron McMillan, Nash McMillan and Emerson McMillan and great-grandchildren: Christian Felker, Aubrey Felker, Olivia Felker, Madison VanWinkle, Aleigha VanWinkle, Brady Moore, Finley Moore, Riley Benge and Ragean Benge. Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, from 4 - 8 pm at Little and Son Beech Grove Chapel. Funeral will be Friday, June 23 at 10 am at the funeral home.
